I’m a creative person who fell in love with the art of photography after the direction of my own life took a very unexpected turn. In 2007, my oldest daughter Livia was diagnosed with a terminal genetic condition. As a result, my passion and eye for capturing and preserving special moments for my own family took off. Since then I’ve educated myself, gained experience, and poured my heart into developing Direction Photography by Kelly.

My style as a photographer is to observe and wait for special moments to occur, that’s why I consider myself a lifestyle photographer. I love to capture spontaneous, candid, storytelling images. Lifestyle photography is about the preservation of time; it’s filled with life, love, and connection. As a professional photographer, I have shot many different types of sessions, but my specialty is senior portrait and family photography.

I love working as a senior photographer. Senior year is such a unique time in life, full of anticipation, excitement and the endless possibilities of what is yet to come. Senior year represents an end as well as a new beginning. Senior year is a time of transition, the final chapter of the story of your childhood and the beginning of your journey into the adult world. It's a time to reflect and think about your friends, classmates and all the experiences you shared together. Senior photographs are the perfect way to preserve this special moment in time.

I would love to have the opportunity to meet you, hear your story, and talk with you about how I can capture and preserve images that reflect the direction your life is heading right now. It’s an opportunity to document your story and allow it to live forever.

When not behind my camera, you can find me teaching group exercise classes at the local YMCA.  My family and friends are an important part of my life, I love to host gatherings and socialize with family and friends at our home. I also love to kick back with a bottle of wine and watch movies. I look forward to one day being able to travel and capture images of some of the amazing places our beautiful planet has to offer.  My dream is to own a small farm and live on acres of land.  I’m married to Jake, and together we have two beautiful daughters, Livia, (eternally) 10, and Finley, 8.  We have a Labradoodle named Scout and two very sweet cats named Ginger Latte and Violet.

I very much look forward to meeting you.
